A nice little Allis Chalmers D272, fitted with the Perkins 3-cylinder diesel engine.
 
The design of these handy little tractors can be traced back to the Allis B, with the D272 being developed and modernised over the years.
 
This tractor features a working PTO and hydraulics, along with a 4-speed gearbox.
 
It has more recently been used on local road runs and starts almost instantly from cold. The engine runs very well and pulls nicely in all gears.
 
On the road, it drives well and sits on what appear to be the original Goodyear rear tyres, along with a pair of new front tyres.
 
The tinwork has been painted at some point in the past and is now looking a little dull. With some effort, it may well come back to a good shine, but importantly, there is no significant corrosion to be concerned about.
 
Overall, this is a nice-sized little tractor that is easy to handle and ready to be enjoyed. It also comes with a current V5.
