Tamar Vintage Tractors - Allis Chalmers ED-40
 
A nice older-restored Allis Chalmers ED-40, fitted with the Standard 23C diesel engine.
 
The tractor is a good starter from cold and has recently had a new set of heater plugs fitted.
 
The tinwork is in good condition and has been nicely painted. It is also sat on a good set of tyres.
 
The tractor has seen plenty of use on road runs, including the National Road Run in Cornwall earlier this year, and is well proven as a usable road-runner.
 
The engine starts easily and runs well, although it is worth noting that it does breathe a little.
 
The hydraulic lift arms are not currently fitted, but they are included with the tractor.
 
The steering and brakes are excellent, and it has a good turn of speed on the road.
 
Overall, a smart, usable ED-40 that is ready to enjoy.
