This is a lovely example of a 1938 Allis-Chalmers Model U — a beautiful older restoration.
 
The Model U is one of my favourite classic tractors, known for its distinctive exhaust note and effortless pulling power.
 
This particular tractor starts easily on the handle and runs with that unmistakable exhaust tone that enthusiasts will appreciate.
 
It has been well enjoyed over the years on road runs and working days, and during that time it has had a new radiator core fitted, the magneto reconditioned, and the brake band relined.
 
It runs beautifully on kerosene and has a surprisingly good turn of speed on the road.
 
The engine block is free from frost damage, and the tinwork is straight, clean, and carries a nice shine.
 
The tyres are excellent all round.
 
It comes with a current V5 document and, all in all, is a beautiful example — ready to be used and enjoyed.
