BF Avery
*SOLD* Tamar Vintage Tractors - BF Avery
A very rare tractor originally built by Cletrac and sold by Avery as 'The General Model', featuring a Hercules petrol/kerosene engine producing around 19 horsepower.
These tractors were manufactured between 1939 and 1943 in Louisville.
This example has been part of a private collection here in the UK for several years. The hand-crank start engine fires up easily and runs well. It shows no signs of frost damage.
It’s an unusual tractor to drive—while it has a conventional clutch pedal, the brakes are hand-operated on either side, adding to its character.
It also comes fitted with a mid-mounted cultivator, which makes it even more interesting and unusual.
The tractor appears to still be wearing its original tyres, and the tinwork is complete and straight throughout.
This is an incredibly unique machine—you're unlikely to see another one like it on any rally field!
Based in Tavistock, Devon. Nationwide delivery can be arranged.
Part exchanges welcome.
