The 1962 Bolens 235 Ride-A-Matic is a highly collectible, late-series garden tractor and represents the final year of the 7-year Ride-A-Matic production run. Manufactured in Port Washington, Wisconsin, this model features a 7 HP engine and the distinctive wider cast-aluminium grille seen on later machines, giving it a noticeably “beefier” appearance while neatly enclosing the engine beneath a metal hood.
 
Weighing approximately 330 lbs, this two-wheel-drive tractor is equipped with a 6-speed CVT transmission and a starter-generator system, reflecting the robust and practical design that made the Ride-A-Matic range so popular.
 
This particular model has been well looked after as part of a collection, the tinwork is straight and the paintwork presents well. It starts, runs and drives and the original serial plate is still present which will help when sourcing spare parts. 
 
Compact in size, these tractors are ideal for younger enthusiasts looking to get started in the vintage tractor scene. Their lightweight and portable nature also makes them perfect for transporting to rallies and shows in the upcoming season.
