Tamar Vintage Tractors - David Brown 4WD 1410
The David Brown 1410 was introduced in December 1974 as the company’s first turbocharged tractor, marking a significant step forward in both power and performance. Powered by a 3.6-litre four-cylinder diesel engine producing around 91 hp, it was the most powerful model produced at the Meltham Mills factory at the time.
This particular tractor is fitted with the German-built Kramer-Werke 4WD front axle, along with the desirable Sekura“Quiet Cab”, making it a relatively rare and interesting example.
The tractor starts well from cold and runs well with plenty of power. On the road it drives well through all gears, with responsive power steering that tracks straight and effective brakes.
The PTO and hydraulic systems are both in good working order. The previous owner used the tractor primarily to power a hedge trimmer, where it performed reliably.
It has been repainted at some point in the past and still presents very well. The cab is tidy and appears solid, with no major rust issues.
The tyres are good all round with plenty of life remaining.
The tractor comes with a current V5 registration document and is being sold with no VAT to pay.
Overall, this is a rare and well-presented example that would suit either work or preservation.
Based in Tavistock, Devon. Nationwide delivery can be arranged.
