Here we have an early 1948 Ferguson TEA20. The TEA20 was the petrol variant; however, this tractor has been fitted with a period TVO conversion, which includes the small auxiliary petrol starting tank.
 
This early example also features the desirable solid-centre rear wheels.
 
This tractor is being sold as a project, having recently been rescued from a shed where it had been stored for several years. With a battery fitted and fresh petrol added, it is now up and running nicely.
 
The tinwork is complete and in good overall condition.
 
It would benefit from the removal of some “period” homemade wing and footplate extensions!
 
The engine shows no signs of frost damage, runs very well, and has good oil pressure.
 
The brakes will require attention, as they are currently not very effective.
 
The tractor retains its original serial plate and comes with a current V5.
 
A lovely running project.
