Tamar Vintage Tractors - Ferguson TEC20
Here we have a beautifully restored 1948 narrow Ferguson TEC20 tractor.
The tractor was restored some time ago and still presents exceptionally well. The restoration was featured in Classic Massey magazine, and a copy of the magazine article is included with the tractor, detailing the full restoration and in recent years, the tractor has been part of a private collection.
On closer inspection, the tractor appears to have originally been a straight petrol model that was later converted to TVO. It features a period manifold conversion, and the thicker head gasket spacer is visible—both common period modifications used to allow tractors to run on the cheaper TVO fuel available at the time.
The tractor sits on a set of Goodyear diamond tread tyres, which complement the paintwork that has been finished to a very high standard.
It is also fitted with period-style footplates and wing extensions, adding to its authentic appearance.
The engine starts instantly and runs beautifully, and the tractor is fitted with an under-slung exhaust.
On the road it drives very well, with excellent steering and brakes. The PTO and hydraulics are functioning correctly, and it is also fitted with a tipping pipe.
The tractor comes with a current V5 registration document.
Overall, this is a stunning example, ready to be shown, used, and enjoyed.
Based in Tavistock, Devon. Nationwide delivery can be arranged.
