Tamar Vintage Tractors - Field Marshall Series 2
 
We are excited to introduce this very well-presented Series 2, Contractors Field Marshall.
 
The Contractors models are considered the most desirable of the field Marshall models and are highly sought after. This particular tractor features a lighting kit and dynamo, rear winch, front counterweight and the high top gear - allowing it to reach speeds of up to 10 mph rather than the standard.
 
This tractor has spent many years in the Westcountry, with several years in preservation. 
 
The paint work is that of an older restoration which has mellowed very nicely. It is sat on a new set of Goodyear Diamond tyres which give it a lovely stance.
 
The tractor starts easily on the handle and runs without excessive smoke, there are no noticeable knocks or rumbles from the engine, and it pulls well out of our rather steep driveway in top gear! The radiator is full of anti-freeze and there is no sign of frost damage. 
 
Out on the road the brakes are good, there is some play in the steering, but it doesn’t wander. The lighting kit is all complete including dynamo, the lights at present aren’t working, I would suspect the brushes in the dynamo will want cleaning and freeing off.
 
I have spent a good amount of time driving this Marshall around and it really is a superb example and a pleasure to drive.
 
This tractor comes with a current V5 with a registration of KTJ947 which corresponds nicely to the nameplate of Katy-Jane.
