Tamar Vintage Tractors - Field Marshall S3
 
This is a Series 3 Field Marshall that has been in the same ownership for over 40 years and has been regularly used for ploughing matches and local shows. The tractor has been well maintained throughout this time and comes with a history file.
 
The Series 3 followed on from the success of the Series 2 but was a completely different tractor in design. Notable changes included a change in engine rotation to clockwise, a three-speed gearbox with high and low ranges, improved braking, and much heavier axles and hubs.
 
This tractor is a particularly nice example. While the paintwork is not immaculate, it has developed a pleasing aged patina that gives it an attractive and honest working appearance.
 
The engine block is free from frost damage, swings over easily, and starts very well. It idles smoothly, is responsive on the road, and the steering brakes perform well.
 
A lighting kit with a period dynamo is fitted, and the tractor is supplied with a current V5 along with the relevant manuals.
