Ford 2000

Tamar Vintage Tractors - Ford 2000
 
This is a very original and tidy Ford 2000 tractor. It's the smallest model in the 1000 series and quite a rare find.
 
It was manufactured in the Antwerp factory in Belgium and imported to the UK several years ago, where it has since been registered and used mainly for road runs.
 
The Ford 2000 shares the same 3-cylinder engine and 8-speed gearbox as the 3000 model. This particular example is fitted with 32-inch rear tyres and 19-inch front tyres, both of which were replaced a couple of years ago.
 
The bodywork is in very good condition, featuring a straight finish with a well-preserved original patina. It also comes with the wider export-style rear wings.
 
Mechanically, it starts easily even from cold, and runs and drives well. It has been taken on numerous road runs and performs with a good turn of speed.
 
The brakes and hydraulics are all functioning correctly, and the steering has recently been re-bushed, making it responsive.
 
Overall, this is a well-maintained and charming example of a Ford 2000 that's ready to be used and enjoyed.
