Ford 2000 4WD
Tamar Vintage Tractors - Ford 2000 4WD
A very nice example of a pre-2000 Force fitted with the 'Selene' four-wheel-drive.
This Basildon-built tractor was originally manufactured for export and is fitted with wide rear wings. It appears to have spent part of its working life in the Netherlands before returning to the UK, where it has since been part of a private collection.
The three-cylinder diesel engine starts easily from cold and runs smoothly. It is fitted with the 8-speed gearbox, drives well on the road, and the brakes are in good working order. The PTO, hydraulics, and four-wheel-drive system all operate exactly as they should.
The original tinwork and paintwork have been preserved, giving the tractor an attractive, genuine patina.
It has recently been serviced and is fitted with a new pair of front tyres.
This is a rare and enjoyable little tractor to drive. It would make an ideal machine for a smallholding or a superb addition to any vintage tractor collection.
Opportunities to buy another like this are few and far between.
Supplied with a current V5 registration document.
