The Ford 5000 was produced from 1964 to 1979 by Ford. The tractor sold exceptionally well in Great Britain, replacing the Fordson Major as a practical mid-sized tractor, which catered for almost every British farmer. It remained in the top ten best-selling list of tractors sold in the UK until 2005.
 
This fantastic example was recently found stored in a barn in Devon and is believed to have spent all its working life on the same farm.
 
It was supplied originally by Fulford Trumps of Holsworthy and features a Devon registration number. It also comes with a current V5 document.
 
Due to changes in health and safety regulations during the 70’s this tractor has been fitted with a Seruka Cab.
 
This Ford remains in excellent condition. It features all its original tin work, some of which has been over-painted many years ago to preserve its working life. The glass is all intact and the roof is solid. 
 
It starts and runs very well - pulling nicely under load.
 
The brakes are good and the hydraulics and working as they should.
 
It’s also fitted with a double acting spool valve and there is a mid-mounted frame on it. This would have been used to drive a mower or hedge trimmer, but could be easily removed. 
 
This is an opportunity to own a very genuine Ford 5000.
