Ford 4000 Pre-Force

Here we have an early example of a Ford 4000, these are commonly known as the 'Pre-Force' range and are best identified by the 2 part front Grille.
 
The 4000 series tractor where the replacement to the Fordson Super Major and featured a 3-cylinder Diesel Engine, Inboard oil-immersed brakes, hydraulically operated independent PTO and improved hydraulics  
 
This is an early short gearstick tractor and features very original tinwork. It has just had a full service, new battery and runs and drives very well
 
The brakes, hydraulics and pto are all functioning correctly, the engine pulls well and the steering is good.
 
We do not have a v5 for this tractor, but being a Basildon built tractor, it could be registered very easily.
