Tamar Vintage Tractors - Fordson Diesel Major
 
We are delighted to present this very original Fordson Diesel Major. This is a stunning early Diesel Major featuring the desirable throttle rod through the block setup found on early models.
 
The tractor has spent many years in a private collection and is one of the cleanest examples I’ve seen. The tin work is very straight and solid with only light surface rust, and the nose cone is straight and dent free.
 
It's had a recent service and has been fitted with a new battery. In true Major fashion, it starts instantly and runs extremely well. The brakes and steering are both good, and the hydraulics and PTO are all working correctly.
 
It also retains a lovely period tachometer, which was an optional extra when new and adds nicely to its originality.
 
Out on the road it drives very well and comes with a current V5.
 
Overall, this is a beautiful original example that is ready to be enjoyed whether for shows, road runs, a collection or light work.
