A very genuine 1958 Mk2 Fordson Diesel Major.
 
The Mk2 Major was the final version of the Diesel Major before the introduction of the Power Major, and it benefits from a live-drive PTO.
 
This tractor has most recently been part of a small private collection, where it has been enjoyed.
 
It starts instantly from cold, runs and drives very well, with both the oil and water where they should be. There are no signs of frost damage.
 
The tyres are likely to be original and show some age-related cracking.
 
The tinwork is in excellent condition, with just a small area of rust on the nose cone. The original wings are solid and completely free from rust.
 
Overall, this is a lovely, honest Major with plenty of original patina, ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
