Tamar Vintage Tractors - Fordson Major
 
This is a late diesel Major, produced just before the introduction of the Power Major.
 
It starts easily with a little smoke which soon clears as it warms up. It runs and pulls well out on the road with good, positive steering.
 
The PTO and Hydraulics are working as they should. (This isn’t a Live Drive model).
It is presented for sale with its original tin work, there is some rust in the wings, but they are very solid, as is the nose cone.
 
It is fitted with the correct wheels for its year. The rear tyres are quite old, but both the front and rear tyres are serviceable. 
 
The engine is free from frost damage and importantly, the oil and water are in the correct places. 
 
In all, this is a genuine example which could make an easy project, or would happily go to work doing a day’s topping!
