Here we have a nicely converted standard Fordson fitted with a Perkins P6 engine.
 
This is a great little tractor with an impressive turn of speed. It features the high-top gearbox and fast worm drive and is capable of speeds in excess of 25 mph.
 
The tractor has been fitted with new tyres all round. The rear wings are a little tatty and could be improved, but it has a certain charm about it.
 
The Perkins P6 six-cylinder diesel starts well with heat and runs smoothly, with good oil pressure. There is no frost damage and no mixing of fluids.
 
Out on the road, it’s quick — certainly not your standard 6 mph Fordson. It pulls effortlessly and runs very nicely.
 
There is no current V5, but one could easily be applied for.
 
A great little conversion and a lot of fun.
