Tamar Vintage Tractors - Fordson Perkins V8
 
This is a very unique and well-executed conversion, based primarily on a Fordson E27N.
 
The tractor has been fitted with a Perkins V8 diesel engine, mated to a Fordson Major gearbox providing high and low ranges, along with a Fordson E27N rear axle. It is finished with a Cookes winch, and to make manoeuvring easier it has been fitted with power steering.
 
The tractor starts very easily, has an excellent exhaust note, and settles down to run smoothly.
 
On the road, this tractor is quite an animal! The throttle response is sharp and it is fast—very fast. However it remains a heavy and well-balanced machine, with the big V8 up front, the winch at the rear, and oversized tyres all round completing the setup.
 
The conversion has been carried out to a very high standard, with paintwork in good condition throughout.

The tractor comes with a current V5.
