John Deere AR, 1939 Unstyled Tractor
 
The John Deere AR was the Fixed Tread model of the A Series of 2-cylinder tractors, these tractors produced around 24HP on the belt and were a smaller Model than the Model D.
 
This tractor has been very well restored in the past and has recently had the Carb professionally rebuilt. The paintwork is very nice throughout and the tinwork is in excellent shape, the tyres are good all around as well. 
 
The tractor is hand-started via the flywheel and with the petcocks open, after a couple of swings it bursts into life 
 
The tractor features 2 forward speeds and one reverse along with a High and Low Range, it has a reasonable turn of speed for a tractor of its age.
 
Being a smaller tractor of around 2 tonnes, it makes it ideal to take to shows and rallies.
