This Leyland 272 is fitted with the sought-after Syncro-Mesh gearbox, which allows for gear changes on the move – a major advancement in its day!

Gear selection includes 3 forward and 1 reverse gear on the right-hand stick, paired with low, medium, and high ranges on the left.
 
The tractor is still in its original "working clothes", showing signs of use but not suffering from the heavy rust issues that can affect some models. The only notable rust is at the bottom of the doors.
 
This Leyland starts easily and runs well in all gears. The power steering is working nicely, with minimal play and no sign of the wandering issues that can plague neglected examples.
 
The cab is solid and complete with all glass present. The tyres are fairly old but still serviceable.
 
Both the hydraulics and PTO are functioning correctly.
 
Overall, a great choice for a yard or smallholding with the benefit of a solid cab for the approaching winter months!
 
Note: There is currently no V5 logbook with this tractor.
