The Massey Ferguson 135 won a loyal following due to its compact size, power, and reliability. During the 1970’s Massey Ferguson launched a modified version of the 135 which they branded the 148. 
 
The 148 featured a simple extension piece between the gearbox and the axle unit which altered the dynamics of the tractor significantly. It became particularly popular for ploughing, removing the need to add nose-weights. 
 
This rarely seen MF 148 has been beautifully restored. The tinwork is in excellent condition throughout and presents a good shine.
 
It features a 3-cylinder, liquid cooled, Perkins Diesel engine which starts instantly with the familiar ‘Perkins Bark’. The extension on this tractor makes it much easier to hop on-and-off and it feels like a very well-balanced tractor to drive. 
 
This tractor features the 8-speed gearbox, and a pick-up hitch is also fitted to the rear.
