Massey Ferguson 165
Tamar Vintage Tractors - Massey Ferguson 165
The Massey Ferguson 165 is a row-crop tractor, built in Coventry between 1965-1979. This is a very original 165, fitted with an early Lambourne Cab and ready for work or play.
It starts, runs and drives well. The brakes are very good and there is no play in the steering.
The tachometer isn't working – most likely due to a broken cable, but the dial is showing just over 5000 hours. I would suspect this to be correct, judging by the lack of wear on the brake and clutch peddles, concurrent with a tractor that’s had a fairly easy life!
Overall, the condition is nice and original, the tinwork on the wings and bonnet are straight, with minimal surface rust which can be addressed with a fresh spray of paint or an oily rag, depending on its intended use.
The hydraulics and PTO are also working as they should.
