The Massey Ferguson 230 is best described as a modern take on the classic 135. Built at Banner Lane in 1985, these excellent all-mechanical tractors are fitted with the robust and proven Perkins 3-cylinder diesel engine, paired with an 8-speed gearbox, making them very capable workhorses.
 
This particular tractor has come from a private owner who, during the Covid period, rebuilt the engine and generally tidied the tractor. It has seen very little use since that work was completed.
 
The tractor starts easily from cold and runs nicely, with a crisp engine and good steering and brakes. It is fitted with a roll bar, and the tyres are in good condition all round. The PTO and hydraulics are fully operational.
 
The tinwork is clean and the paintwork is presentable.
 
This tractor was purchased without a V5 document, however having checked the serial number the registration number is still active with DVLA, so we have applied for a replacement V5 which will be available to the new owner. 
 
Overall, this tractor is a joy to drive and is ready for work or play.
