A Beautifully Restored Petrol/TVO Universal 4 Tractor
 
This lovely tractor has recently come from a small private collection and is an interesting example, featuring just a drawbar and belt pulley, along with full electrics and a lighting kit.
 
Occasionally, tractors were specified without hydraulics—especially when farmers were upgrading from horsepower. Many implements at the time were land-driven and only required a drawbar for pulling.
 
This particular tractor is a stunning example, painted to an excellent standard. It is a good starter tractor, easily switching over to TVO, and runs very smoothly.
 
The engine is free from frost damage, and the manifold is in good condition. As with all Nuffields of the era, it has a good turn of speed on the road, and the brakes are excellent.
 
Another notable feature is that the rear half shelves have not been shortened. It was common at the time to cut them down for better access through tight gateways.
 
The tractor comes with a current V5 and is waiting for a new custodian to enjoy!
