2025 has been another brilliant year here at Tamar Vintage Tractors. We’ve bought and sold more vintage tractors than ever before, uncovered some truly special machines, and met many like-minded enthusiasts along the way.
We’re proud to say the year ended with 200 tractors sold, making it our busiest year yet. Every tractor found a new custodian, and it’s always a pleasure knowing these machines are heading off to be enjoyed, restored, and cherished for years to come.
Along the way, we discovered some fantastic private collections, full of memorable finds. We’ve put together a short YouTube video talking through a few of our favourites – definitely worth a watch if you enjoy seeing rare and interesting vintage machinery up close.

A few Mamod models have also crept onto our website this year. These are very much a passion project of our youngest son, helping to nurture the next generation’s interest in mechanics – and he’s proving to be a bit of a salesman too, upgrading one model to the next!
We’ve also had some fantastic weekends out at steam rallies with our own engine 'The Model'. The Torbay Steam Rally was a real highlight. Joining the convoy down to Brixham Harbour for fish and chips, surrounded by steam, was unforgettable – from towering showman’s engines to being overtaken by a miniature engine on the way home!
Behind the scenes, we’ve put a lot of effort into growing our social media channels, sharing our latest arrivals on Facebook and Instagram. This year we even joined TikTok, and the response has been incredible.
Our YouTube channel is building nicely too, now with over 1,000 subscribers. One of our most popular reels went viral, reaching over 5 million views – which is crazy!
If you’re not following us already, do head over and take a look. Matt talks you through some of his
most interesting vintage finds, shares practical how-to tutorials, and his most recent video is a full round-up of 2025.
We’d love to hear what you’d like to see next. Whether it’s advice on what to look for when buying an older tractor, or a deep dive into a particular model, please leave a comment and let us know.
Thanks again for being part of the Tamar Vintage Tractors journey – here’s to an exciting year ahead!
