In 1953, Ford Motor Company celebrated its 50th anniversary—a significant milestone for one of the most iconic names in American industry. To commemorate this occasion, Ford released the Golden Jubilee tractor, a distinctive and forward-looking machine that bridged the gap between tradition and innovation in agricultural equipment. Featuring a specially designed Golden Jubilee medallion proudly displayed on the front grille, this model wasn’t just a utility vehicle; it was a celebration on wheels.

The Golden Jubilee marked the beginning of Ford's NAA series, signaling a departure from the widely respected 8N model that had served farmers reliably since the late 1940s. Slightly larger and more powerful than its predecessor, the Golden Jubilee came equipped with a range of upgrades that made it more versatile and easier to operate. These improvements included:
Live hydraulics, which allowed the implement to be raised or lowered independently of the clutch
Selectable position and draft control, improving performance with various implements and soil conditions
A more powerful 134-cubic inch, 4-cylinder overhead valve petrol engine, replacing the earlier flathead (side-valve) design

Our own Golden Jubilee tractor, part of our collection for several years, is a wonderful example of this rare and much-loved model.
It retains its original 6-volt electrical system and starts easily, a testament to its well-maintained condition. The hydraulics and power take-off (PTO) are fully operational, and it drives well both in the field and on the road.
This particular tractor was restored in the USA some years ago by vintage tractor enthusiast Robert Christianson, whose careful work preserved the original character of the machine. While the tractor remains in good mechanical condition, it could benefit from some cosmetic tidying—the kind of light restoration work that would be ideal for a hands-on collector.

Golden Jubilee tractors are a rare find in the UK, making this an exciting opportunity for enthusiasts looking to add a standout piece to their classic agricultural collection.
Whether displayed at shows or used for light work, this tractor offers a blend of historical significance, mechanical simplicity, and nostalgic charm.
This tractor has brought us a great deal of joy and has been lovingly cared for over the years. However, we’ve decided—with great reluctance—to offer it for sale.

We hope it finds a new home where it will continue to be appreciated, preserved, and perhaps even put to work again. If you're a collector, a Ford enthusiast, or simply someone who loves the romance of classic farm machinery, the 1953 Golden Jubilee could be the perfect addition to your stable.
