National Vintage Tractor Road Run 2026 Heads to Cornwall

The National Vintage Tractor Road Run will be heading to Cornwall in early April 2026, taking place on Easter Sunday. Hosted by the Cornish Tractor Club, the run continues a tradition that began back in 1985, bringing vintage tractor enthusiasts together while raising money for worthwhile local causes.

For 2026, the chosen charities are Cornwall Air Ambulance and Cornwall Blood Bikes, both of which provide vital services across the county and Tamar Vintage Tractors are delighted to be headline sponsors for this event.

The base will be the former WW2 naval airfield at St Merryn, just a few miles south-west of Padstow. It’s an ideal location, offering plenty of space for tractors, camping, and socialising over the long weekend.

Entrants will be welcome to arrive from Friday 3rd April, with camping available right through until Monday, making it a proper long weekend for those travelling from further afield.

The route itself promises to be one of the highlights. Tractors will enjoy a scenic run along the rugged north Cornwall coastline, taking in some truly spectacular views, before heading inland across the Cornish moorland that the county is equally famous for. To keep things interesting, the organisers have also included a few off-road sections, to keep things interesting!

As always, there will be a halfway rest stop, where an optional pre-booked lunch will be available – a proper Cornish pasty. Saturday evening will see a pre-booked meal followed by entertainment, giving everyone a chance to relax, catch up with friends old and new, and talk tractors well into the evening.

The run itself will get underway on Sunday morning at around 10am, with organisers aiming for as prompt a start as possible. With an experienced organising team behind the scenes – including people involved in previous national runs and the last time the event was held in Cornwall back in 2003 – everything is in place for a well-run and enjoyable event.
